Project Overview:

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Flyers' 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs digital campaign faced the challenge of connecting with fans who couldn’t attend games. I was tasked with creating a visual identity that resonated with both dedicated fans and the wider Philly community. The digital-first approach aimed to rally support, boost morale, and maintain playoff energy online during an especially difficult year.

Creative Approach:

The "Together, Apart" creative vision highlighted the Flyers' bond with fans despite social distancing. It featured bold visuals that blended playoff intensity with a message of resilience and hope. I developed a visual system using vibrant orange and black, iconic team imagery, and dynamic typography to capture the playoff excitement. Digital assets included real-time social media posts and interactive fan graphics to boost engagement.

Outcome:

The 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs digital campaign was a resounding success in terms of fan engagement and overall digital impact. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the campaign helped to unite the Flyers’ fanbase, delivering excitement and energy directly to their screens. Engagement metrics exceeded expectations, with a significant increase in social media interactions, video views, and merchandise sales.
